Matchups set for 2013 NCAA men’s hockey tournament

The committee has spoken and the brackets are set, this weekend the NCAA men’s hockey tournament will get underway in four locations. Here are the 2013 matchups:

East Regional: Providence, R.I @ Dunkin Donuts Center

1. Quinnipiac vs. 16. Canisius
6. Boston College vs. 12. Union

Saturday’s games are set for 5:30 and 9 p.m. The two winners to make it out will play Sunday at 6:30 p.m. for a spot in the Frozen Four.

Northeastern Regional: Manchester, N.H. @ Verizon Wireless Center

3. Massachusetts-Lowell vs. 14. Wisconsin
7. New Hampshire vs. 9. Denver

Friday’s matchups are set for 4:30 and 8 p.m. with the winners moving on to a 6:30 p.m. game Saturday.

Midwest Regional: Toledo, Ohio @ Huntington Center

4. Notre Dame vs. 13. St. Cloud State
5. Miami vs. 11. Minnesota State

With game starts in ET, Saturday kicks off at 1:30 followed by a 5 p.m. game. Sunday’s final will be at 4 p.m.

West Regional: Grand Rapids, Mich. @ Van Andel Arena

2. Minnesota vs. 15. Yale
8. North Dakota vs. 10. Niagara

We’ll get underway in Michigan at 2 and 5:30 p.m. (ET) on Friday and at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

After this weekend we’ll know who has booked a ticket to Pittsburgh for a spot in the Frozen Four. Who’s going to win it all?
