Pats’ Donte Stallworth involved in bizarre accident

After signing with one of the greatest NFL franchises of the decade, Donte Stallworth of the New England Patriots who chose to celebrate the good news by taking a hot air balloon excursion with his girlfriend.

Things didn’t quite go as planned as the two were involved in an accident in the Miami area. Things quickly took a turn for the worse when the balloon collided with a power line, causing both to receive severe electrical shocks. The two were rushed to an area hospital and though they received quite a shock and some burns, they managed to make it out of the accident alive.

Stallworth has been doing well in the hospital since the incident and is in stable condition, as is his girlfriend.

Further reports say that Stallworth should suffer no ill effects in relation to his career, so fear not Pats fans, Stallworth will make a recovery and get back on the field no more worse for the wear.

Stallworth played in one game in 2012 before going down with an ankle injury. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Stallworth and his girlfriend as they both recover from this rather bizarre accident.
