Louisville coach gets championship tattoo

Published On April 28, 2013 | By Kimberly Petalas

Louisville coach Rick Pitino made a promise to his team before the NCAA tournament: He would get a tattoo if they won the national championship.

Who would have thought: Louisville won, now Pitino had to keep his promise, which he did.

Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein tweeted pictures of the tattoo early this morning of  Pitino showing off his new ink. The tattoo, which is beneath his left shoulder, features a Louisville script “L” logo adorned with the words “2013 NCAA Champions 35-5”

Not only did he uphold his end of the deal, Pitino also made it big and proud (some people may have went small and barely visible).

What happens if his team wins again next year? Add 2014 and the score? Or will there be a new tattoo? What about a piercing? Anything is possible and I’m sure he’ll keep it interesting.
