Athletes get into the Halloween spirit
Since Halloween is right around the corner, as in tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to research what some athletes decided to dress up as, as they step into someone else’s shoes and hang up their own sneakers for one night.
Here’s a recap of some of the best that were posted on the internet this past weekend.
Miami Heat point guard Dwyane Wade donned some type of muscle man outfit. In my opinion, he didn’t need the outfit. He probably looks exactly the same under all that material:
Los Angeles Clippers forward Caron Butler went old school, but frightening, with this Freddy Kruger costume:
DeJuan Blair, also of the Clippers went as the famous Run DMC trio with two of his buddies and they nailed it:
San Antonio Spurs forward Stephen Jackson was one of the more impressive costumes I dug up, as he dressed as a very convincing Heath Ledger version of The Joker:
Denver Nuggets point-guard Ty Lawson won’t get any creativity for his Batman costume, but superhero costumes are always a classic:
Women’s soccer player Alex Morgan and her teammate Sydney Leroux reminisced on one of this past Olympics’ most infamous moments and went as the “not impressed” McKayla Maroney:
And finally, in what is sure to be one of the most popular costumes of the 2012 Halloween season, Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas poked fun at his own profession and donned a “replacement ref” costume:
No matter who or what you decide to dress up as for Halloween tomorrow, I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!
