Anna Benson "Baseball Wife" no more

Reality shows like VH1’s “Basketball Wives” and “Baseball Wives” have opened viewers’ eyes to the drama surrounding high profile athletes’ relationships, and the relationship between former New York Met’s pitcher and his wife Anna is chock-full.

According to a report from the New York Daily News, Anna filed for divorce in March after discovering evidence on Facebook her husband Kris was having an affair with one of her friends. But here’s where the story gets interesting; back when Kris was a Mets pitcher in 2004, Anna told Howard Stern she’d “do everybody on his whole team” in an act of revenge if Kris ever cheated on her. So, is Anna looking up that roster now?

It seems unlikely, as her biggest concern is finding a home for herself and the three children she shares with Kris. She told Fox Kris sold the family’s Georgia home, and that she may be forced to move herself and her children into her mother’s home.

“My heart is broken, because I really loved him,” Anna told Fox. “But now, I just want to be a mother. I don’t need some mansion — I don’t need any of that. I just want a place for my kids.”

Anna knew how to make a splash, in addition to her comments on Howard Stern and her role on “Baseball Wives”, she worked as a model and showed up to the 2005 Mets Christmas party in a barely there Mrs. Claus suit.

Kris Benson pitched for nine seasons in the majors after breaking in with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1999 and retired in 2010 after spending time in the minors.
