Gronk loses Oscars gig

It looks like Rob Gronkowski won’t be making his Oscars debut this year.

The Patriots tight end was replaced with Baltimore Ravens’ safety Ed Reed as red carpet correspondent for the “Rich Eisen Podcast.”

The Oscars are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24.

Although Gronk will no be making headlines at the Oscars, he has already had his fair share of headlines this offseason. As many can recall, Gronk was seen out partying in Las Vegas and wrestling with a friend while he still had a cast on his broken arm. He then later “apologized” for the incident by wearing a “Sorry for partying” shirt.

As for why Gronk was pulled from the gig, there is still no direct answer for that. Maybe this is Ed Reed stepping in for the Patriots, just like he might next season.
