Does Belichick hate Tebow? He says no.

Bill Belichick is known for his steely demeanor and refusal to smile in front of a camera, but does anyone think the tough Patriots’ head coach actually harbors hate towards anyone other than division rivals?

Well, a Yahoo Sports article made the giant logical leap to say that Belichick “hates” Tim Tebow. Those are some very strong words, especially since they are not backed up at all except for a few mysterious sources that are close to Belichick.

Well Belichick heard about the story, and while he may not hate Tebow he just may hate the accusations about said hate for the struggling quarterback. Belichick held nothing back as he called the report “completely untrue” calling out the fact that it is not fair to him to characterize his feelings just because he doesn’t feel like signing Tebow as a backup to Brady.

Belichick then went on to defend his position and his reasoning behind staying away from the signing.

“I wouldn’t get into the probability of us pursuing any free agent.” Belichick said. “Every single player has strengths and weaknesses but regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible. It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported.”

Meanwhile Tebow is still out of a job after being let go by the Jets, since then no teams have reached out to offer him a spot. Whether their reluctance is out of hate is undetermined, but at least we now know that Belichick doesn’t hate Tebow, he just doesn’t see his potential on the Patriots in the 2013 season.
