A huge congratulations goes out to Miami Heat superstar Dwayne Wade and his long time girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union on their engagement. The couple announced the engagement via Instagram along with a photo of Gabby’s hand wearing an 8.5 carat diamond ring and the caption “She said yes”. The two have been dating since 2009.

Just a week after the devastating career news that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski suffered a season ending ACL and MCL tear, it’s good to see him up and around and in good enough spirits to take a quick flick with two young fans…even if it is grocery shopping.

Just two days later, Gronk was spotted again with Pats RB Stevan Ridley spreading Christmas joy to the children at Boston’s Children’s Hospital.

Vancouver Fights Lucic and Lucic Fights Back
Boston Bruins Forward Milan Lucic, originally hailing from Vancouver claims he was attacked in a downtown Vancouver nightclub Saturday Night, after the Canucks beat the B’s 6-2. The NHL star says he was just a victim when a man threw a drink on him and punched him three times. Saturday morning a You Tube of Lucic yelling at a man and some bystanders went viral…shocker.
As Lucic addressed the incident after his return to Boston he maintained his innocence and says, “I have no reason left to defend my city and the people in my city and I’m kind of just disgusted and outraged that it had to come to something like that.”
Meanwhile, back in Vancouver, former Canucks owner Arthur Griffin took to Twitter to express his feelings on the matter, shouting out his fellow Vancouver fans and taking shots at Lucic and his “whining”.

Praise of the Week: A Dodgers Christmas Carol starring Yasiel Puig
Tis the season to spreading cheer and that’s exactly what LA Dodgers Yasiel Puig did this week. The Dodgers outfielder returned to LA Tuesday to surprise the young patients at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles with gifts and and more importantly, his time. The holidays are such a trying time for those less fortunate but also for those who are suffering healthwise. Puig was inspired by his first visit to the hospital with friend LA Laker Pau Gasol and decided to return for the holidays.
“I am so happy with this city and I don’t know how I can thank our fans for making me feel happy but I can try by doing nice things,” said Puig. “I don’t like to be proud of myself for what I’ve done because it’s only a little and I just want to keep doing more. I want to thank the Dodgers for helping me in making my ideas come true.”
Among the gifts brought by Santa Puig, were hats and t-shirts, an autographed photo and an invitations to a 2014 game by the outfielder. Puig has plans on playing host to the patients and their families. Since his June 3rd call up, Puig has been dilligent in building with the Los Angeles community by gifting his own personal bats and other baseball items to special guests of need. He also, co-hosted Cuban Heritage Day at VIva Los Dodgers, Dodgers Stadium. Continuous acts of giving back is something that never goes unnoticed, especially coming from those that are humble. Puig gets my praise for the week because of the work that he’s done all year and his continous efforts in his community.

Basketball Wife Evelyn Lozada announces pregnancy by Carl Crawford
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada shocked fans a few weeks ago after releasing pregnancy photos. Not just any photos but photos of her 6 months pregnant. The 37-year old shocked again this week after releasing that the father of her child is LA Dodger Carl Crawford. According to TMZ, the two have been dating for almost a year and have gotten extremely serious If you don’t remember Evelyn, you may be reminded if I bring up her two month marriage to former NFL star/Twitter addict, Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, which ended due to a physical altercation.
Phew! *wipes brow* Evelyn, it’s getting too tough to keep up! As for the future bundle of joy, Lozada is due in late March, according to E!Online. “Eveyln is extremely happy at this time and excited for new beginnings!” her rep to E! News but here’s wher the twist to the story comes in (you know there ALWAYS has to be one). Celebrity news site Gossip On This, reported that another woman named Amy Freeman recently gave birth this summer to Crawford’s second child. Yikes! I think there’s a lesson to be learned here and that is: You can learn way too much information on the Internet.
