Hernandez now connected with double murder in 2012

Let’s just keep adding to the list for Aaron Hernandez, shall we?

First was the connection to the death of Odin Lloyd, when Hernandez had his house and other property searched multiple times. Once these allegations arose, he was connected to several other gun-related incidents. Reports surfaced that Hernandez once threated former teammate Wes Welker during practice.

And of course, yesterday he was charged with several weapons charges and first-degree murder in Lloyd’s death without bail.

But now, in case that wasn’t enough, Fox 25 reports that the former Patriots tight end is being investigated in connection with a double murder in downtown Boston in 2012.

At around 2 a.m. on July 16, 2012, officers responded to a scene in which three individuals had been shot in a car on the corner of Shawmut Avenue and Herald Street. Two of the men in the car, Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu, died from the shots, while a third victim in the backseat survived. The source says the men worked at a cleaning company in Dorchester and had just left a bar in the area. Police investigators believe that there were originally two other occupants of the car, but they fled the scene.

Witnesses said the shooters were riding in a grey or silver SUV with Rhode Island plates. Investigation in this case is ongoing.

Hernandez is set to return to court this afternoon for a bail review. But oh man, things aren’t getting any easier for this guy.
