Rondo and Humphries ejected from game after fight
After last night’s brawl between Boston Celtic Rajon Rondo and Brooklyn Net Kris Humphries, both players were ejected from the game.
After a foul hit from Humphries to Kevin Garnett‘s face, Rondo stepped in. Rondo pushed Humphries into the crowd while the two players looked as if they took some swings at each other. Other players from both teams joined in as well.
Both players were ejected from the game after the incident, as well as the Nets’ Gerald Wallace. Wallace had a technical foul earlier in the night, and fighting with Garnett on top of that was enough to be ejected.
“I’m not going to get into what the commissioner is going to do or the league is going to do,” Coach Doc Rivers said in an interview on Boston sports radio. “Could there be suspensions? Yeah there could be. There were no punches thrown. But the fact that it went into the stands usually means suspensions.”
From what it looks like on video, there seems to have been some punches thrown, but crew chief James Capers said there were none.
“As we reviewed it, no. They aggressively went to one another, and they basically pushed and extended on one another, but there was not a punch thrown,” Capers stated.
Last night Humphries tweeted this picture of his injuries with the caption: “Anyone know where I can get a quick Tetanus shot in Boston?”

According to NBA rules, the consequence for fighting can include multiple-game suspensions as well as fines up to $35,000.
