NFL:

Although we know the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will be going head-to-head at the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, we also know there are so many other great players in the NFL. On Sunday, be sure to watch the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. The best of the best will compete to see which is the best conference: the NFC or the AFC.

Even though many of the Patriots players will not be attending, many other great players will be including quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, and Drew Brees, wide receivers Andre Johnson and Julio Jones, as well as defensive ends J.J. Watt and Jason Pierre-Paul. The action beings at 7 p.m. on NBC.

Local:

Three local college hockey teams will also be playing this weekend.

The Northeastern Huskies will take on the Umass-Lowell Riverhawks at home at 7 p.m. They will play them again on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Lowell. Catch all the action on 104.9FM, WRBB Sports.

If you can, try to get tickets to Saturday’s game in Lowell as the Riverhawks will be playing on pink ice to support Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer, a Boston-based non-profit that aids local breast cancer programs.

The Boston College Eagles will also play at home this weekend as they take on the Maine Black Bears at 7 p.m. on Friday. The game will be broadcast on 98.5FM, the Sports Hub. On Saturday they will remain at home to play the Black Bears again at 7 p.m. Listen live on Boston College radio.
