NFL roundup: Week 12
Dolphins vs. Seahawks
Miami snuck past Seattle, 24-21 Sunday. A late-game charge rallied the Dolphins to the win with 17 points scored in just over the final eight minutes of the game. Dan Carpenter‘s 43-yard field goal on the final play clinched it, and Miami advanced to 5-6 on the season.
Seattle was ahead with eight minutes left thanks to a kickoff return for a touchdown from Leon Washington, but Ryan Tannehill stepped up in the final 92 seconds, driving 65 yards to set up Carpenter’s kick and snap a three-game losing streak for the Dolphins.
Bills vs. Colts
The Colts were led to a 20-13 victory over the Bills by T.Y. Hilton, who scored on a 75-yard punt return and caught a touchdown pass Sunday. He became the first player in Colts franchise history to score both ways in one game.
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck completed 20 of 37 passes for 240 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
With the loss, Buffalo fell to 4-7 while Indy advances to 7-4.
Cowboys vs. Redskins
In a “cowboys and Indians” Thanksgiving showdown, the Redskins came out on top in a 38-31 win. Star rookie Robert Griffin III threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns in his first visit to Dallas as a professional player. He became the first Washington quarterback to throw four touchdown passes in consecutive games.
Despite throwing for a career-high 441 yards and three touchdowns in the second half, Tony Romo lost for the first time in six Thanksgiving starts.
