The hustle and bustle of the holidays is mostly over, and now it’s time to either enjoy vacation time with the family or adjust back to a work schedule. Either way, it’s a great weekend for sports and
Saturday night, the Celtics will face off against the Golden State Warriors in a 10:30 p.m. late-night matchup. You can catch the action on Comcast.
Check out a little pre-Beanpot action between Northeastern and Harvard as the Huskies travel to Cambridge Saturday night for a 7 p.m. puck drop. Harvard’s Bright Hockey Center is easily accessible for Bostonians and Hockey East is a great alternative during the NHL lockout.
For those up north, Merrimack and Vermont will be playing in the Catamount Cup in Burlington, Vt., a great chance to see Hockey East teams face off against non-conference opponents. For Boston loyalists, Boston University will take on Denver, also on Saturday night, which you can catch on NESN. If you’re still missing hockey, check out the World Junior championships. Team USA takes on Canada bright and early at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. You can catch the action on NHL Network. Team USA boasts a trio of New England locals, including North Reading native Jim Vesey, BC’s Johnny Gaudreau and Providence College netminder Jon Gillies.
Check out the WBZ NewsRadio 1030 at Winter Skate Kidcast mobile studio from 12-2 p.m Saturday. Children can record their own news report at the mobile studio. Once you go home, you can find the report online and share with family and friends. Plus, check out the rest of Patriot Place for some last-minute Christmas shopping or a day of skating outdoors with the family.
Maybe most importantly, the Patriots will be seeing their last regular season action Sunday at 4:25 p.m. against the Miami Dolphins. The Pats need a win and are relying on losses elsewhere in the league to catch a first-round bye, so don’t miss any NFL action this weekend.
