Football games don’t get much more exciting than this: a blowout turned nail biter complete with dazzling plays, an incredible comeback, and one enormous blackout at Super Bowl XLVII. Let’s not forget an unforgettable halftime show and the witty commercials too. Here is what we think were the best moments of this year’s Super Bowl. Let us know if we left out any of your favorites in the comment box below!

Best Moment: Sandy Hook Elementary Chorus Pre-Game

No matter what happened in the game, this was one of the best moments of the day.

There goes Jacoby Jones. In what felt like a possible death blow to the 49ers, Jones returned the second-half kickoff 108 yards. The sprint took the unexpected hero just 11 seconds as San Francisco team parted like the Red Sea. That made it 28–6, Baltimore.

Best Commercial: Taco Bell – Viva Young

Elderly people bust out of their retirement home and get into all kinds of teenage trouble: Regrettable tattoos, public displays of affection, breaking and entering, pyrotechnics, and finally, some late night Taco Bell.

Best Halftime Moment: Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child Reunited

Really, when we remember this Super Bowl, we have to think Beyoncé won the whole thing, don’t we?

Best Family Moment: Harbaugh Brothers

In the aftermath of the Super Bowl, John and Jim Harbaugh met in the middle of the field and shook hands like coaches, but spoke like brothers. ”Hey, I love you,” is what older brother John said to his younger brother, Jim.
